The reconstruction and extension of the existing administrative building in Palić was approached as a careful transformation of the original structure aimed at improving functionality while establishing a clear contemporary architectural identity. By retaining the existing footprint and structural system the intervention relies on precise architectural gestures and a well-defined volumetric expression.
The addition of an upper floor increases the administrative capacity while the spatial organization remains aligned with the established structural grid. The ground level functions as an active working zone directly connected to the courtyard and production facilities while the upper level accommodates offices and meeting spaces. Vertical circulation is integrated within the existing core preserving the building’s proportions and spatial continuity.
The new identity is articulated through a restrained yet expressive façade composition. An alternating rhythm of solid metal surfaces and large-format glazing introduces visual dynamism and underscores the building’s contemporary character while subtly shifting in appearance with changing daylight. A distinctive entrance canopy coated in corten metal panels marks the point of arrival and strengthens the building’s recognizability.
The result is an administrative building that reflects the company’s activity and values with clarity enhances everyday use and establishes a new visual reference within its industrial context.
