The peaceful and upscale Belgrade neighborhood set the scenery for the Rio townhouse and its sophisticated charm. The project brief was to create a contemporary interior with an old-house character. Following the owner’s love of nature and greenery, we created a constant dialog between inside and outside, paying attention to specially curated views from the interior towards a lovely landscape.
The chevron hardwood floor gives an informal yet extravagant feel and provides a foundation for a warm color scheme that unifies various spaces throughout the four-story house. Large windows, plenty of natural light, wall and ceiling moldings form a rich bond with refined modern furnishings. A true originality of this home derives from an eclectic mixture of contemporary furniture and one-of-a-kind vintage pieces. The outcome is a polished and vibrant home that is a true reflection of the owners’ sensibilities.
